The Drumbeats of Heaven

The courts of heaven have been shaken today
As the armies of heaven stand in their white robes arrayed.
On white horses they are all prepared to ride
And follow He who bares this title on His thigh:
King of Kings and Lord of Lords, name: The Word of God
Ready to tread His enemies and rule with an iron rod.
Upon His white horse mounts this glorious King
No greater sight have the angels in heaven ever seen.
His eyes burn deep with blazing flames of fire
Diadems and a white robe are His royal attire.
The courts are now shaking with sounds of a loud thunder
As the armies of heaven behold this marvelous wonder.
The halls are filled with a deafening, mighty roar
As the drumbeats of heaven echo though the corridors;
Clashing their swords against their shields making a great noise
The angels began to shout their praises to the Lord.
This is it, the day when the whole earth shall see
Just how mighty the Lamb of God can really be.
Now the archangel begins to let his trumpet sound
And the Lord Jesus Christ begins His descent down.
Tens and thousands are following by His side
As He comes first to receive for Himself His Bride.
The wicked He destroys and the heavens He sets afire
So His people can dwell in righteousness, for that is His desire.
So be ready my friends, for this day will surely come
When your eyes will behold the Great and Glorious One.
No one really knows the hour or the day,
But, could the angels be gathered and the drums about to play?
So be dressed and ready, for He is surely returning
Let you garments be pure and your lamps left burning!
